Splice uses this macOS permission to detect your emoji trigger and insert the selected emoji into the active app. Trigger detection is processed locally on your Mac. Splice does not send what you type to our servers, store your messages, or use these permissions for analytics or advertising. Splice also stays out of password, login, signup, and other sensitive fields where possible.
Splice supports Arc, Dia, Firefox, Zen, Chrome, Edge, Brave, and Safari out of the box.

Splice relies on private macOS APIs that Apple has not locked down so far. However, Apple may modify, restrict, or remove those APIs at any time without offering a replacement. Because of this, Splice is sold as-is. Its functionality and behavior may change in response to future macOS updates or Apple API changes. Splice may adapt, change, or remove certain functionality in response to future macOS updates or Apple API changes.
